Bennett & Vane began the way a lot of good things do: with a small frustration. We couldn't find knitwear that felt truly considered — soft enough to live in, quiet enough to wear anywhere, and built to last more than a season. So we set out to make it ourselves.
A calmer wardrobe
We started with a single cardigan and a clear brief: the softest hand we could find, a relaxed fit that flatters every shape, and a palette of quiet neutrals that never shout. Everything since has been held to that same standard.
No chasing trends, no shortcuts — just pieces we actually wanted in our own wardrobes.
Tired of knitwear that pilled, lost its shape, or never felt considered enough, we began testing pieces chosen for softness and durability.
Our debut cardigan went out to a small community and found a home right away. The feedback was unanimous: “I basically live in it.”
